In the most complex period in decades, students around the world faced the difficulties of taking classes remotely and participating in practical exercises conducted online rather than in the classroom. In a situation that threatened student engagement and motivation, we supported SDA Bocconi School of Management by creating a platform that stimulated students, providing accurate UX/UI and adding the attractiveness of Nudging Gamification to the practical tests.
The advent of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and the resulting limitations have been a powerful obstacle for universities to the effectiveness of lectures and practical exercises, forcing faculties to conduct exclusively online lectures and tests. In this context, all educational institutions have had to reinvent themselves in order to ensure the best possible teaching in an entirely new scenario. SDA Bocconi School of Management involved us in a project aimed at making online tutorials effective for students, keeping engagement high and enabling full-digital participation and logic. The request was to design a tool that would help thousands of students continue their preparation in the best possible way.
Grazie!
To recreate, in a digital environment, the emotional involvement and comprehensiveness of traditional practical exercises, we developed an online platform where users can participate in real business games, challenging their preparation and testing their knowledge through Nudging Gamification logic.
We designed the platform taking care of every detail of the UX/UI with the goal of making the activity performed stimulating and erasing the sense of alienation typical of online education. We then took full advantage of our Nudging Gamification skills to equip the platform with all the tools and features that would entice students to practice online and experience with a sense of fulfillment:
This project has been a perfect example of a successful educational experiment that adopts a new way for students to test and improve their preparation and makes online teaching more challenging and less isolating. Thousands of students participated and were thus able to continue their education with success and satisfaction
